About This Product

Direct Energy Power-To-GoSM is an exciting and convenient way to buy your electricity. Our new pay-as-you-go plan lets you buy your electricity as you need it. Enrollment in Direct Energy Power-To-GoSM is easy!

You will need an Advanced Meter
An Advanced Meter is required to enroll with Direct Energy Power-To-GoSM. In addition, you must have the ability to email or create a text message for re-charging your account.

You need to make a payment immediately after enrolling
Pay at one of our authorized payment centers or pay online 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Re-charge your account as necessary
As you use electricity, your account balance is reduced. When you have about 3-7 days of electricity left, we'll send you a text message or an email. We will remind you of your account balance until you make a payment and recharge your account.

What happens after enrollment?

Once your order is completed, your electricity service will begin within 3-7 business days.

  • You'll enroll with Direct Energy Power-To-GoSM and pre-pay for your electricity upfront – as much as you want. You will receive a payment number via SMS text or email and a payment card in the mail within 7-12 business days from the day you make your first payment. You can go online, visit an authorized payment center or call whenever you'd like and pay whatever amount you'd like.
  • Then you'll receive a daily SMS text message or email telling you how much you have in your account.
  • You’ll get an alert when your balance is running low. And if you should let your power run out, you can pre-purchase more electricity and get re-connected in just a couple hours.
