  • Veteran Energy does more than just providing electricity for veterans. Learn more.

Veteran Energy started in 2010 when Kevin Barber, an energy executive and U.S. military veteran, wanted to do more for America's heroes. Now the company provides customers with competitive electricity rates while also giving back to the veteran and active-duty military communities. For veterans' energy, many companies offer a military discount. For electricity plans through Veteran Energy, a donation is automatically given to a military organization of the consumer's choice.

Texas electricity plans from Veteran Energy

Veteran Energy provides electricity for veterans, community residents and businesses across Texas. Electricity plans from Veteran Energy come in three options: fixed-rate supply plans, variable-rate supply plans and green energy supply plans. With a fixed-rate supply plan, electricity supply rates stay the same throughout the entire term. With variable-rate supply plans, the rate may go up or down throughout the term depending on the market. Green energy plans use renewable sources of energy, such as wind, solar and hydro.

The Power to Give Back

The Power to Give Back program aims to positively impact the lives of veteran and active-duty military personnel across the United States. Instead of offering a military discount for electricity, a portion of profits from Veteran Energy goes directly to helping veterans and their families obtain medical care, get educational aid or get help with mortgages. Each time a new customer enrolls, Veteran Energy will make a donation to one of The Power to Give Back's affinity partners.

Energy deregulation

In most areas of Texas, the electricity market is deregulated. If you live or operate a business in one of these areas, you must choose a retail electric provider. It is important for consumers to shop around and compare rates and available Texas electricity plans. Veteran Energy strives to offer competitive prices, while still making an effort to give back to the community.
