What Is the PECO Cost Per kWh?

The PECO cost per kWh may fluctuate as market prices change. The cost is dependent on electric commodity costs and when the electricity is purchased by PECO – which is done quarterly. If you choose PECO as your energy supplier, the commodity charges will encompass about two-thirds of your total bill – with delivery charges making up the other third.

In Pennsylvania you can choose to buy your electricity through the distribution company or another supplier who may offer alternative rates. The PECO cost per kWh can be competitive, but if you're looking for different benefits – such as secured-rate plans – other suppliers may fulfill your energy needs.
