When shopping for a deregulated energy plan, it’s important to be sure you are getting good quality service from a reliable provider. With so many REPs on the market in Texas, it can be hard to choose. At SaveOnEnergy.com, we make it our business to vet providers before we show their plans to our customers.
To help shoppers make informed decisions, we’ve put together reviews of some of the top REPs available. The SaveOnEnergy.com reviews model is based on three categories with the following factors:
Iberdrola Texas is new to Texas, but it is part of the Iberdrola Group, one of the largest companies in the world. The parent has been in business for more than 170 years. Iberdrola Texas has a low complaint score. Its rating also was hurt only by its lack of accreditation by the BBB. A new Iberdrola Texas initiative could set the company apart. It will pay up to $150 in Early Termination Fees charged by your previous provider. Providers charge ETFs when a customer cancels a contract before its completion.
Here’s the legal language Iberdrola Texas uses to explain how the program works: “This promotion is subject to you emailing firstname.lastname@example.org a copy of your bill showing you have been charged an early termination penalty from your previous supplier. Iberdrola Texas will apply a bill credit to your account equal to this amount, up to a maximum amount of $150, upon successful payment of your first bill.”
To report or check the status of a power outage or other emergency, please contact your local utility company. For questions about your electricity plan or rate, contact Iberdrola below.
