Frontier Utilities FAQs
When you sign up for a plan, Frontier will carry out a credit check. The company will request you to pay a deposit if you don’t pass the check. To avoid paying a deposit, you can choose a no-deposit or prepaid energy plan. You may also be able to avoid paying a deposit if you’re over 65 or a victim of domestic violence.
You’ll generally only need to pay a cancellation fee if you want to end a fixed-rate plan before its termination date. These fees are $150 for a 12-month plan and $200 for a 24-month plan. You can avoid the fee if you move out of Frontier’s service area.
The answer to this question depends on your personal preferences and energy needs. If you like knowing how much you’ll have to pay each month for energy, a fixed-rate plan may be best. Lower rates may be available with a variable-rate plan during certain months, but you can also be left with a hefty bill when demand spikes in the summer.
Frontier offers energy plans for residential and business customers. If you’re a resident, you can access fixed-rate and variable-rate plans. Commercial customers can tailor an electricity plan to meet their needs.
