Rhythm main energy services

Rhythm for residential customers

Rhythm specializes in offering affordable energy plans to residential customers. The company currently offers three residential plans. All three are fixed-rate plans with contracts ranging from 12-36 months.

Rhythm for business customers

Rhythm doesn’t currently advertise commercial energy plans. However, in early 2021 Rhythm acquired Entrust Energy Inc, which served approximately 10,000 small and medium-sized commercial customers. Rhythm will honor all existing contracts with Entrust Energy, including their commercial plans.

Green energy options with Rhythm

All of Rhythm’s energy plans are powered 100% by renewable energy generated from Texas wind. Their energy is sourced entirely from Texas companies, meaning customers’ dollars help power local green energy businesses and drive economic growth in the state.

Other Rhythm initiatives

Rhythm is a new company and hasn’t expanded its offerings outside of its fixed-rate, renewable-energy plans.

Community investment

Rhythm invests in its community through investments in renewable energy. The company’s mission is to create healthy air and water for families while reducing its carbon footprint. When you sign up for a Rhythm energy plan, the company matches your energy use (up to a unit of renewable Texas wind power) by purchasing Renewable Energy Credits (RECs). Those dollars invest in renewable energy production, which increases the use and availability of green energy statewide.

Rhythm service areas

Rhythm offers energy plans across many parts of Texas, including Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Texas City, Corpus Christi, and Abilene. The company works in the service area of several different utility companies, including:

Texas energy plan FAQs

Who should I call if there’s an outage?

No matter who supplies the electricity that powers your home, your utility company still delivers the electricity and maintains the electric infrastructure. If you experience a power outage, you should contact your utility company.

What is a fixed-rate plan?

Fixed-rate plans let customers lock in their price per kilowatt-hour, meaning your rate doesn’t fluctuate with the energy market. Rhythm offers fixed-rate energy plans with contracts ranging from 12-36 months.

What happens if I move?

If you move to another location in your current supplier’s service area, you can take your energy plan with you. Contact your energy supplier, and they’ll handle the setup on their end. If you move to a location outside your current supplier’s service area, you’ll have to switch providers.

You can use the SaveOnEnergy marketplace to shop for your new electricity plan. Simply enter your ZIP code to get started.

Why does SaveOnEnergy run a credit check?

Most energy plans require an upfront deposit, but customers with good credit may avoid a deposit. If you’d prefer not to have a credit check, you can opt for a no-deposit energy plan, which often requires you to prepay for your electricity.

A few things to remember

  • Don’t forget to read your plan’s Electricity Facts Label before signing up. It contains important information including:
    • Price per kilowatt-hour based on usage
    • % renewable energy sourcing
    • Early termination fees
  • Enjoy hassle-free supplier setup. Once your order has been confirmed, your new supplier will set up service with your utility, or transmission and distribution service provider (TDSP) – but don’t worry, there shouldn’t be any interruption to your power during the switch.
  • Understanding your electricity bill. Your local TDSP will still deliver your electricity and maintain electric infrastructure including meters and power lines. Your utility fees can be found as TDU or TDSP charges on your monthly bill. They are independent of your supplier rate.
