Constellation Energy plans

Constellation Energy offers a number of electricity plans, which vary depending on where you live. Here are a few examples of Constellation Energy plans that you’ll find on the SaveOnEnergy marketplace.

12 Month Flat Tier Product

With this 12-month, fixed-rate plan, you’ll pay a flat amount for your energy usage up to 1,000 kWh, which is a great way to avoid any surprises on your energy bill. If you cancel your plan before it’s due to expire, you’ll need to pay a $50 early termination fee (ETF).

12 and 36 Month Usage Bill Credit

These are also fixed-rate plans, available in both one-year and three-year contracts. With either plan, you’ll earn a $35 bill credit if you use more than 1,000 kWh per month. You’ll receive another $15 credit for using over 2,000 kWh per month. The ETF is $50 on the 12-month plan and $99 on the 36-month plan.

12 Month (No Min Usage Fee)

This is a simple fixed-rate energy plan that comes with a 12-month contract, but unlike the plans, there are no usage tiers or bill credits. You’ll incur a $50 ETF if you end your contract early.

12Mo Usage Bill Credit + A/C Protection for 2 Units and HVAC Diagnostics

This fixed-rate plan comes with a $35 bill credit if you use more than 1,000 kWh per month. You’ll receive an additional $15 credit for using over 2,000 kWh. Plus, you’ll get protection for two air conditioning units and HVAC monitoring services.

Constellation Energy service areas

Although Constellation Energy serves customers in many states, Texas is one of its biggest markets, where it operates in the following utility service areas:

SaveOnEnergy’s tips for easy electricity service setup

  • Don’t forget to read your plan’s Electricity Facts Label before signing up. It contains important information including:
    • Price per kilowatt-hour based on usage
    • % renewable energy sourcing
    • Early termination fees
  • Enjoy hassle-free supplier setup. Once your order has been confirmed, your new supplier will set up service with your utility, or transmission and distribution service provider (TDSP) – but don’t worry, there shouldn’t be any interruption to your power during the switch.
  • Understanding your electricity bill. Your local TDSP will still deliver your electricity and maintain electric infrastructure including meters and power lines. Your utility fees can be found as TDU or TDSP charges on your monthly bill. They are independent of your supplier rate.

How to move or transfer service with Constellation Energy

Need to move or transfer your electricity service? All you need to do is contact Constellation Energy at least two days ahead of your home (although two weeks is customary) and give them your new address. Your service should be set up when you move into your new home.

Constellation Energy electric rates in my area

When you’re searching for a new energy plan, you should always factor in your specific location. That’s because electricity rates change from city to city based on the utility company’s transmission charges and local taxes. This means that you could pay a different rate from someone in the next town over for the same plan.
